Sachin Tendulkar scores his 100th international century
DHAKA: Star batsman Sachin Tendulakar set a unique record of scoring one hundred hundreds in all forms of cricket when he reached the three-figures against Bangladesh in the fourth match of the Asia Cup one-day tournament here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Friday.
This was a great moment for which cricket fans were waiting for almost a year as the ‘Little Master’ was in a tremendous pressure to become the first batsman in history to score 100 international centuries. Tendulkar, who turns 39 next month, achieved the feat as he recorded his 49th ODI century while he had already made 51 hundreds Test cricket. Tendulkar who has been playing for a long period of over 22 years has a number of records in Test and One-day cricket. The Mumbai batsman, who has played the most number of Tests and One-dayers, has also compiled most runs and centuries in these two forms.AFP
