Election Commission ofPakistan has been named for Guinness World Record for launching the world’sbiggest SMS voter list service.The commission in a statement on Thursday said that the ECP name has been nominated for launching world’s biggest SMS service.
The ECP has recently launched a SMS service, , in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), to facilitate 85 million voters to check the status of their votes and particulars.Registered voters can send their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC) number without hyphens via SMS to 8300 at anytime from anywhere in the country.The ECP further said that the authorities of of GWR had asked them to provide further details regarding the service. |
