Pakistan defeat Sri Lanka by 6wickets in Asia Cup
Pakistan recorded aconvincing win against Sri Lanka in their second match of the Asia Cup.
Pakistani reached the target of 189 at theloss of four wickets. Capitan Misban-ul-Haq and Umer Akmal scored half centuries for Pakistan.Pakistan pacers andspinners with their accurate bowling restricted defending champions Sri Lankato 188 runs. After captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and decided to batfirst, Sri Lanka were bowled out in 45.4 overs. Kumar Sangakkara (71) and UpulTharanga (57) hit half-centuries while only openers Jayawardene (12) andTillekaratne Dilshan (20) were the only other batsmen to get into doublefigures.
Paceman Aizaz Cheema was the most successfulbowler with four wickets for 43 runs while off-break bowler Saeed Ajmalcaptured three for 27 and pacer Umar Gul two for 20.
